Mr. Carter

My nephew is in love with mail. It is kinda funny watching him check the mailbox, even though sometimes (a lot of the time) he doesn't get any mail. Now that I am working full time it is harder for me to catch him when he gets out of school to have him sit down and write.

Last night he asked me if he got any mail. I told him no, and that you have to send mail to get mail. So he decided I need to give him some postcards to send. So in the future..if you get a scribbled on postcard with a picture...its from him. =)

Just had to share that with you. I wish I had a picture to go with this post, but I am on the work computer and all my photos are at home.

**To anyone expecting mail from me, it is coming I promise. It's just taking a while. Remember it is called "snail mail". =) That's a little Pen-thief humor for you!**

Interesting Mail

You ever make something that you want to share on here..but then aren't sure how to? I mean..there is something I have whipping up for a friend. I want to be able to share it on the blog..but I want it to be a surprise. Hmm.. Well..I suppose it will have to wait. So why not share with you a lovely envelope I got from Rin at Papered Thoughts?

Look at all those goodies!! I was so excited to see them all, especially the library cards because well...we don't see too many of them anymore. She also sent me a list of books she enjoyed! How neat! I will have to write up my list for her. =)

I will definitely be sending her something back. And if you haven't already, check out her blog and her Etsy store!

This is from my personal collection. I found this at a flea market..and I really would love to know what company made them. (Mainly because I really want some of them!!) So if anyone can find me the manufacturer I will find some way to make it up to you. Just ask Ashley (who won the guess Carter's Halloween costume giveaway) I send really neat things to winners!

Archiving Past Mail

Today I decided to archive my past mail. Everything prior to starting this blog. And then decided to add the larger pieces I've gotten as well. ( Not because I dont want to look at them but because they take up considerable space.)

I placed the postcards and letters wrapped in paper and tied with string into my trunk. And then placed them into the attic. At some point I will add all the letters from this year. Separated by sender of course, into this unseeming time capsule. 

Random Mail Update

I just realized in my cold medicine haze that I haven't posted any of the cool things I have gotten in the mail recently. And by that I mean that I haven't posted anything like that since..oh...before my birthday! So here is goes:

Some lovely things from Ashley and Chris. The Pez contraption actually arrived around my birthday. The giant eraser was a response to a football I mailed to Chris. Little do they know something fun is headed their way... =)

That my friends is 3lbs of mail...

And this is also roughly 3 lbs. They are the mail that I have gotten recently that has been responded to. A smaller pile is still waiting for me to write a response.

All in all I have some wonderful pen friends. I thank you all for your lovely words.
