Memorial Day Giveaway

So...as you can probably tell by the title its time for another giveaway. I spent the last few days attempting to organize my supplies in an effort to make answering mail easier. In doing so I found a few stamp pins I had been saving for a rainy day. So here's the deal. Leave a comment between now and midnight EST on the blog about your favorite memorial day memory or what you plan on doing this memorial day. Also be sure to leave a number so I have some way of selecting a winner. There will be TWO winners this time. Each will win a lovely USPS Stamp pin that looks like this:
You know you want to enter! Oh and be sure to tell your friends...there just might be a bigger giveaway happening when this blog hits 150 followers. =)  (think...lots of stuff the Pen-thief doesn't really need anymore.)

  1. The memorial day that I remember most as a child is when my grandmother made me and two of my cousins matching outfits. They had blue star fabric with a white strip down the front with blue star buttons (that had no real purpose other than show) It was the three of us running around in our matching outfits at the bbq that day. 62

  2. I don't have any memorial day memories :) The only holiday I ever spent in the US was the 4th of July and we went to San Francisco on that day :) Still, a good memory :)

That is a beautiful pin but I'm not American so I've never actually celebrated Memorial day although I do celebrate July 4th with a little BBQ each summer and my boyfriend has a profound respect for all those who served in the U.S. Military and is close friends with a number of Vietnam vets. :) Xx

  6. Misty - I received your earth envelope, note and goodies today. What a pleasant surprise to find the little extras! Thanks so much for responding - and postcards are FAB with me. I love the creativity and quick turn around in making a p/c. Plus, I can write a line or two but not feel like I have to sit down and think of stuff for a 'letter'. I look forward to more exchanges!     I remember the great cook outs we used to have when my daughter was little. Now she's grown up and lives in another state and I live in an apartment, so no cook outs, but I do have some red, white and blue decorations.

  11. When I lived at home in the States Memorial Day was the opening of the summer holiday for my friends and I and we always went to the beach for the weekend. I loved those carefree days of fun and sun. Number 57 for me please.
