So...as you can probably tell by the title its time for another giveaway. I spent the last few days attempting to organize my supplies in an effort to make answering mail easier. In doing so I found a few stamp pins I had been saving for a rainy day. So here's the deal. Leave a comment between now and midnight EST on the blog about your favorite memorial day memory or what you plan on doing this memorial day. Also be sure to leave a number so I have some way of selecting a winner. There will be TWO winners this time. Each will win a lovely USPS Stamp pin that looks like this:
You know you want to enter! Oh and be sure to tell your friends...there just might be a bigger giveaway happening when this blog hits 150 followers. =) (think...lots of stuff the Pen-thief doesn't really need anymore.)

Giveable Greetings! + A Giveaway!
A few weeks ago I stumbled upon a listing of people wanting reviews from bloggers. Most of them weren't even remotely anything I would be interested in...OR that I would want to share with all of you. That is..until I came across Giveable Greetings. I started looking around the online store and instantly fell in love with some of the designs. They are so cute! Some of the designs are loosely based on puns, which totally appeals to my sense of humor. I emailed Steph and the rest is...well...this post!
She sent out a nice package with a couple different things, including these wonderful postcards of some of her designs. (You can see these and others on her store which you can find here or here.) The backside of the cards are blank, and take ink (including gel pen) very well. Plus I mean...they are totally cute right?
The colors on these postcards are actually a heck of a lot more vibrant in person. Also, the lines are much clearer than they appear in my photos. (I got a new cell phone..and am sad to say I do not like the camera as much.)
Then being the Christmas season, she sent out some nice holiday cards! I love them!! I am telling you, you seriously need to go look through the Giveable Greetings store. Each card comes with a white envelope and they are wrapped in a plastic pouch. I took the stocking card out so you could see they to come with envelopes.
The cards are good quality printing and a good quality card stock as well. They certainly are sturdy enough to travel through the mail. Oh, and the envelopes are nice as well. There is nothing worse than buying a card..and realizing the envelopes are too thin. You don't even need to worry about that with these ones. The cards also take the ink very well, though seemed to need a minute or two to dry completely when using a more gel based ink. (This is common though, which means I do not consider it a flaw by any means)!
Finally, Steph threw in these cute gift tags. The design is so comical. They really make you wonder...why didn't I think of that!
She even wrote up a nice blurb about how she started the Giveable Greetings line:
"Giveable Greetings was started by Steph ~ a stationery-obsessed graphic designer who has an insatiable need to illustrate puns and put them to paper. Though originally studying to be a forensic psychologist, Steph did a sporadic 180 and instead went to school for 2d animation (you know, the hand-drawn kind), an industry in which she was employed for several years before realizing that she preferred to work with images that didn't move. Currently working as a freelance illustrator / web & graphic designer / children's book artist, and hobbyist photographer, Steph began Giveable Greetings as a side project for her more quirky, vintage- and retro-inspired art. Currently offering cards and gift tags, she plans to branch out and incorporate her designs into other media. Her cards can be found for sale at the Outer Layer in Toronto, Ontario, as well as online. She is taking part in the Sketchbook Project 2012, and can be found in various places around the cybersphere including:
Facebook
Twitter
Tumblr (not as frequently updated as it should be)
Pinterest
Online Store
Etsy
So how about the giveaway?? Well to enter, all I need you to do is leave a comment here with which design from the Christmas cards listed above is your favorite (exclude the stocking card...I used that one as the card to test the ink on). For an extra entry into the drawing, like her Facebook page by clicking the link above. Once you have done that, leave a comment letting me know so. (You can just leave one comment if you like her page before commenting.)
The first prize winner will get the Christmas card of choice as well as the gift tags. I will pull three other names and each will win one of the other cards. That way we can spread the love. =) The contest runs until Wednesday, December 7th at 7pm Eastern Standard time. I know sometimes the comments system gets buggy so if you have any issues, send me an email with the information listed above and I will enter you in the drawing.
I wish everyone luck, and I hope that you enjoy her designs as much as I do!

The Modest Peacock
I recently entered a giveaway at the Modest Peacock's (Jenny) blog. She was giving away some lovely peacock cards and envies made by Punch Studios. Aren't they lovely?? I was delighted with what showed up. She even through in a few extras like a peacock feather and some leaf stickers! (Of course I didn't think to photograph them.)
I highly recommend you stop by her blog. She is currently doing 52 Weeks of Mail, which for those who do not know means that she will be sending at least one letter every week! Neat huh? And besides, her blog header is really awesome. (Now you just have to visit!)

Guernsey Review By Random House
"January 1946 - London is emerging from the shadow of the Second World War, and writer Juliet Ashton is looking for her next book subject. Who could imagine that she would find it in a letter from a man she's never met, a native of the island of Guernsey, who has come across her name written inside a book by Charles Lamb. Juliet and her new correspondent exchange letters, Juliet is drawn into the world of this man and his friends - and what a wonderfully eccentric world it is.' The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' - born as a spur-of-the-moment alibi when its members were discovered breaking curfew by the Germans occupying their island - boasts a charming, funny, deeply human cast of characters, from pig farmers to phrenologists, literature lovers all. Juliet begins a remarkable correspondence with the society's members, learning about their island, their taste in books, and the impact the recent German occupation has had on their lives. Captivated by their stories, she sets sail for Guernsey, and what she finds will change her forever." - Random House

Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
Hey everyone, just a quick message to say that I am giving away a used paperback copy of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Just leave me a comment letting me know you'd like to enter and tell me one book that you enjoy. This is open to international folks as well as those in the US.
Again, I said the copy is used so expect some mild wear. It was a book I pulled out of some donations that has been on my shelf for a while. I just recently got a nicer hardback copy which is why I am not in need of this one anymore. =)
The contest will run until Sunday at 7pm Eastern. I will put the names in a hat and randomly select one. Good luck!!

Post Office Visit!
I finally made it to the post office this morning before work. As I mentioned yesterday I had quite a bit of things to mail off.
First was an odd request to mail a gigantic rubber duck.

I've not tried mailing odd objects there yet, so I decided to try it out on the rubber duck. Then I had a ton of postcards that were already stamped but needed to be mailed so I dropped them off instead of making my mail lady carry them with her. Then I had the packages for the giveaway. It would have looked like this (minus the duck) if I had stuffed it all into the box.

BUT..those aren't my picture because I actually forgot my cell phone at home. I was totally bummed and debated about waiting until tomorrow to mail..but I wanted it all to go out today. SO...if the recipient of the duck reads this...and finds it in their heart to snap a picture and email it..that would be awesome!
I thought the mail clerk would think that I was nuts, but he said that the oddest thing he's ever been asked to mail was a coconut. That would be an odd one wouldn't it?
SO..all told..after paying postage on the duck, the giveaway packages and buying much needed stamps...I spent just shy of $50. CRAZY! I do believe that is the most at one time on postage. =)

Ok...I Lied...
This afternoon I am filled with things to blog about aren't I?
Well it just so happens that I found one of my favorite bloggers, Numinosity, is holding a 200th post giveaway! AND..she is giving away extra chances if you blog about it! So..here goes:
This self proclaimed "Rustafarian" does a little bit of everything. From paintings (which are really cool), a bit of collaging (totally awesome) and probably the most interesting to me...she makes her own beads!! Beautiful ones at that. I wish I knew how to do it..sadly I tried once and well..lets just say I leave the bead making to the real artists.
I highly recommend that you visit her blog, not only for the chance to win some really neat stuff, but also because as I said before..she makes some really cool art!!
She has not one...but TWO Etsy stores!! In the first one she sells has some really neat paper ephemera listed. I drool every time I look at it. And the second one she showcases her beads! If you are like me you will be astounded by their beauty.
Oh and she has been a busy bee because aside from the blog, and the two Etsy stores...she has found the time to start her own website which you can find here. Cool huh?
So...you should jog on over to any or all of the sites I listed cause you are bound to see some pretty neat things!
