Jimmy Stewart Gets a Post Office...Sorta

A Post Office in Indiana will now bear Jimmy Stewart's name to honor him. (He was from Indiana.)

But did I mention that Indiana...is a town in Pennsylvania? Cool, huh? Anyway, I have plans for today, but thought I would share a short post about this. I always think its neat when Post Offices are renamed for people. (I know...dorky). And thus...here are two of my favorite James Stewart stamps.

and this one:

**The first person to guess my favorite Jimmy Stewart movie and leave a comment will win...something. I am not sure yet. Perhaps something I find on todays adventures. =) **

  1. "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" - is that it?

P.S. I received a lovely card from a fellow letter writer/blogger with a Gregory Peck stamp on it, which just polished the classic black enveloped it was affixed to. The envelope was so beautiful, I'm going to think of something lovely to do with it.

  2. Oh, I was going to guess "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"! Since that's taken, I'll guess "It's a Wonderful Life" or "Rear Window"? Mine is "To Catch a Thief". I'm partial to Hitchcock :)
